Earliest Memories

Since I missed it the first time round, here's 100 words for the earliest memories challenge.

Stars

I remember the stars. There were always stars around me. It was a little scary at first - there were so many, in so big a space, that I was so small in comparison. But everything was okay because my mother was there.

Then my mother left me.

There were big rocks all around me - asteroids they were called - but I couldn't see the stars. I wanted to follow my mother but Crais stopped me. He helped me, he calmed me, I felt safe when he was with me.

And then I didn't need my mother any more.

This was good..and a little sad as well. I guess I'm on a Talyn sympathy kick after watching IYYY the other night.
